Willow Glen Farmers Market | August - October 2013
Source: southbayfarmersmarket.com
If you like locally grown produces, check out The Willow Glen Farmers' Market, which is the closest thing to a fresh produce heaven in the heart of Downtown Willow Glen.
Among all farmers, I would like to call out the Thomas Farm which offers a large diversity of flowers, vegetables and fruits, many of them not found anywhere else. Everything they have to offer is organically grown in Santa Cruz County, with an emphasis on sustainability.
Another one of my favorite farmers is the Black Hen Farm, which offers "humanely produced" organic eggs from rescued chicken. Their eggs come in many colors: chocolate brown, tan, blue, green, speckled, and white. Based on my experience, I believe them when they claim that their hens lead the good life!
Willow Glen residents, remember to collect your weekly basket of fresh produce every Saturday until the end of October, from 9.30am to 1.30pm, by the Garden Theater on Lincoln Avenue and support the local California Farmers.
